New Here?
Here’s a little bit of info about the Emmanuel Family and what you can expect on your visit.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. We are a family that is committed to the Lord and to each other, but we do not place an emphasis on what you ought to look like. Whether you come wearing casual clothes or a three piece suit, you can expect to be treated the same as we worship God together.
What do you teach, and how do you preach?
We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God, and we desire our interactions with it to reflect that. Each week we ask the Holy Spirit to bring to us from His Word what is appropriate and necessary for that group of people at that specific time, so that we may grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
What’s the worship service like?
Our worship service runs about 75 minutes, and incorporates elements of preaching, congregational singing, and sharing. The Emmanuel family is made up of people from different generations, so the music we sing reflects that. But we think you’ll find an emphasis not on a specific style, but rather on God as our audience, and the one who is acting in our service. We commit each time together to Him and to what He wants to accomplish in and through us.
What about my kids?
Our family of friends involves everyone, and that includes your kids! Your children are not a distraction to us, so please feel free to demonstrate how a body of believers worships together through singing, giving, and learning in God’s Word. We offer a staffed nursery (infant through age 4) for those who need it, but you may also make use of the Parent Room and children’s bathroom area, which is connected to the nursery.
