“Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-9

“And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. And the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go over and join this chariot.’ So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, ‘Do you understand what you are reading?’ And he said, ‘How can I, unless someone guides me?’ And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.” Acts 8:27-31

“So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or
hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light,
and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear
those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can
destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:26-28

“About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have
become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers,
you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles
of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is
unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food
is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment
trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Therefore
let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity.”

“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a
prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with
purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body
like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that
after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
