A look back…
In the mid-nineteenth century, a small group of people who were committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and to sharing the message of His soon return, began meeting in East Rochester. From meeting in homes, schoolhouses, halls, chapels, and eventually more permanent buildings, the cause of those first individuals continues on to this day. The message of Jesus Christ sounds forth from our pulpit and in our times of worship, and echoes throughout our homes and our community. We are thrilled that the Lord has given us a rich history of folks who were committed to Him, and we continue to seek His direction, and look to what He wants to accomplish here in Rochester, and beyond.
If you’ve never met us, we’d love to connect with you!
We are a unique Family of Friends, people that are committed to worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ, and bearing witness to His Grace at work in our lives.
We Believe
- We believe that the Bible is God’s authoritative guide for all men in matters of morals, ethics, and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- That man is spiritually lost and can be saved only through the person of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19)
- That in a literal, physical sense Jesus Christ died, rose from the dead, is in Heaven today and is coming back to this earth again a second time to establish His kingdom. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11; 2 Peter 3:10-13)
- That all men shall be raised from the dead to appear before Christ to be judged according to their deeds. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
- That the destiny of the saved will be everlasting life and the destiny of the lost will be everlasting destruction. (John 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:9)
- That the church is God’s approved means of Christian fellowship and is necessary to Christian growth. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
